WORLD-FIRST REUSABLE SPACE DEBRIS COLLECTOR SET TO REVOLUTIONISE SECTOR
University of South Australia based startup Paladin Space has demonstrated the world’s first space payload capable of capturing debris from multiple targets and storing it on satellites for recycling, reducing the cost of space debris removal and making the process more sustainable.

Paladin Space, a startup incubated at the University of South Australia's Innovation and Collaboration Centre, has introduced Triton, the first reusable space payload designed to capture and store multiple pieces of orbital debris for potential recycling. This breakthrough technology was demonstrated at a private event hosted by the ICC.

Inspired by founder Harrison Box’s Masters thesis on reusable concepts for space debris removal, Adelaide-based startup Paladin Space is developing the world’s first reusable, in-orbit space debris remover. Commercial satellite owners, defence industry, and government space agencies are all poised to benefit from the technology.

PALADIN SPACE AWARDED $100,000 TO PURSUE SPACE DEBRIS RISK REDUCTION
The South Australian Government has awarded Paladin Space a $100,000 grant to develop new image processing techniques to identify space junk and mature a design to capture it. It will also allow the company to build a prototype of the design.
